Local councils embracing EVs

A big focus area for the Cities Power Partnership (CPP) this year has been transport – a large and growing source of harmful carbon pollution in Australia.

This year the CPP has continued to support councils in electrifying their fleets. In April, over 120 elected officials joined the CPP’s call for the Federal Government to legislate fuel efficiency standards to supercharge the country’s supply of affordable electric vehicles.

Here’s a sneak peak of some of the remarkable strides made by local governments in electrifying their fleets this year, demonstrating the outstanding work and commitment by local councils embracing EVs as solutions in efforts to reduce transport emissions.
