Climate Media Centre

The Climate Media Centre provides a full suite of communications support – free of charge in the main – to the climate movement.

The CMC also provides expert media training to help you tell your story effectively. Our trainers have years of journalism and communications experience and this extremely valuable service is offered free of charge thanks to our donors.

Participants rank their satisfaction with our training an average of 4.8 out of 5, and almost without exception those who complete our training say they are more confident and likely to engage in media interviews.

Since 2015, we’ve found, trained and supported more than 5000 diverse voices who have unique expertise to speak on critical climate policy debates. As a trusted communications advisor to the media, we intervene at strategic media moments to seed positive narratives and tackle harmful ones.

The Climate Media Centre localises and personalises climate change impacts and solutions for Australians. We connect journalists with powerful stories about people and places affected now, as well as inspiring yarns of those taking action to fix things.
