Dr Yolanda Waters

Dr. Yolanda Waters is a dive instructor turned marine social scientist and the founder and CEO of Divers for Climate, a national movement of divers and marine tourism professionals mobilised for climate action. Her research and advocacy work explores how diverse human connections with the ocean can inspire deeper public and political engagement on climate change. Yolanda has worked with industry, government, and civil society, and is a trusted spokesperson on ocean-based climate impacts, community perspectives and leadership, and climate communication strategies that shift hearts and minds.
