Book Club Eight: I Am Greta

Greta Thunberg never wanted to become a global icon. She was just a girl who cared about one thing: getting the adults to act on climate change.

But in one dizzying year, she went from sitting alone on the steps of the Swedish Parliament, to speaking to world leaders at the United Nations Summit on Climate Change.

There to capture the whole story was Swedish filmmaker Nathan Grossman, who was by her side as she travelled across the world, inspiring millions to stand up and demand more from our political leaders. His new documentary, ‘I Am Greta‘ gives an intimate look at Greta’s home life, and explores the extraordinary pressure she faced when thrust into the global spotlight.

Join director Nathan Grossman, school-striker Daisy Jeffrey, and Climate Council CEO Amanda McKenzie to discuss ‘I Am Greta’ in a special screening of our Online Book Club (except this time it’s a film!)
