The Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS) has presented Chief Climate Councillor Professor Flannery with the Geddes Environment Medal, a prestigious international award commending Tim’s “dogged determination” to communicate the critical science of climate change.

The last person to be awarded the Geddes Environment Medal was Swedish climate activist, Greta Thunberg.

Find out more about the award and catch up with Tim by watching this special event: An Evening with Tim Flannery, below.

It’s an insightful conversation hosted by Professor Iain Stewart, geologist, BBC presenter and RSGS President, and Dr Vanessa Collingridge, award-winning broadcaster, journalist and writer specialising in science, history and the environment from the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
