Lily was a city slicker who moved to the mountains ten years ago thinking she already knew everything she needed to know about climate change. Then she had to evacuate her toddler and baby from the Black Summer fires, as well as watch her kids’ distress at muddy slopes at Mt Hotham in the middle of winter.
Lily is a lawyer and climate law researcher with Melbourne Climate Futures at the University of Melbourne. She is also a writer and presenter on ‘Climate Kids‘, a show that answers kids’ questions about climate change in a fun and engaging way.
Lily is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, World Commission on Environmental Law. She lives regionally on the country of the Taungurung people in north-east Victoria.
