IN THE WEEKS since the federal election, there has been no shortage of analyses of the result. But what we are fighting for has not changed. The majority of Australians are concerned about climate change, and rightly so. We still need strong leadership to lay the path for renewable-powered cities and regions. We still need to accelerate action to limit global temperature rise. And delaying action won’t make the problem go away.

That’s why it’s so important that, in this critical moment, we come together to bolster our push for climate action. And that is exactly what the Climate Council community, from right across Australia, is doing: rallying together to fight harder for action on climate change.

Our community is taking charge

Hannah has decided to run a marathon to raise funds for the Climate Council. Joe is donating his Bar Mitzvah money. Sue and Fiona have increased their monthly donations. Jon has doubled his.

These are just some examples of the ways people who are not giving up, but strengthening their resolve to fight for climate action.

It will take all of us

In this moment, it is crucial that we come together to double our efforts and keep pushing forward. Because on our own, we’re just one person. But together, with our voices amplified and actions multiplied, we are unstoppable. And we need to be, because the challenges we face are many.

What can you do

The Climate Council relies on our generous community to power our mission pushing for strong climate action in Australia.

And there is no end to the ways you can contribute to our shared goal, from organising an event, to taking part in a fun run, signing up as a donor or offering to volunteer your time. Check out our Community Toolkit for even more ideas about how you can take action on climate change.

So whether you choose to run for renewables, or chip in to keep climate change in the headlines, each action you take is integral to our mission to drive the climate conversation forward and achieve meaningful climate action in Australia. The only way we’re going to get this done is with people power.

From all of us at the Climate Council, thank you for everything you do to push for climate action.
