Instead of facilitating the rollout of wind, solar and battery technology, the Federal Government continues to advance its extremely weak national energy policy- the National Energy Guarantee. The bottom line is: the NEG slams the hand brake on the growth of renewables and does nothing to tackle climate change.

So we’ve made this video to spell out why the NEG is a bad egg.

Now’s the time for everybody who supports stronger pollution cuts and a faster rollout of renewable energy than proposed by the NEG to take action. Here are three quick things you can do to make a difference:

  1. Chip in to launch our energy experts roundtable. Your support will get some of the best energy and climate experts in Australia in the room. Together, they’ll discuss how to deliver a credible national climate and energy policy and how to keep the pressure up, both publicly and privately. This has the potential to fundamentally change how energy is talked about in Australia.
  2. Share our report “Roadmap to a Renewable Future” with your MP, family and friends. It demonstrates how Australia can cut its rising greenhouse gas pollution levels, while pursuing clean, affordable and reliable renewable energy and storage technology. Already thousands of you have shared our report and influenced people across Australia, but there’s still more we can do.
  3. Watch and share our video. By educating your friends and family on the impact of the NEG, you’re creating ripples and helping change the national conversation on Australia’s energy future.

Together, we can turn this around.
