Which suburbs are responsible for this boom in solar panels?

SOLAR panel installations in Brimbank have almost doubled in the past three years, new statistics show.

And the energy they produce has almost tripled.

The Clean Energy Regulator’s monthly statistics showed there were 6943 solar panel installations in Brimbank’s postcodes in 2011.

That number had risen to 13,081 by December last year.

The kilowatt output has risen from 12,441.70 to 31,689.84 in the same period.

Total Solar Solutions owner Reece Kennedy said Melbourne’s outer suburbs were where “95 per cent” of his work was coming from.
