Climate change is happening now and the warming of our planet due to human activities is transforming Australia’s climate and increasing the intensity and frequency of many extreme events such as heatwaves, droughts and flooding.

This has implications for electorates around Australia. Heatwaves can impact health, reduced rainfall can affect urban water supplies and ecosystems and decrease agricultural production, coastal flooding can damage properties and critical infrastructure and bushfires can claim homes, land and lives.
